Dr Courtney Mycroft-West

Courtney is a Postdoctoral Research Associate based at the Rosalind Franklin Institute, within the laboratory of Dr. Liang Wu, investigating the structure-function relationships that underpin glycosaminoglycan biosynthesis; a crucial class of complex carbohydrates of significant biological and medical importance. The facilities at Research Complex allow him to perform research interrogating carbohydrate-protein interactions underpinning many biological processes that are key to life.  Within Research Complex, Courtney frequently uses the X-ray crystallography suite, biophysical instrumentation and transmission electron microscope to understand the function of carbohydrate binding proteins.
