Industry at Research Complex
Research Complex is proud to collaborate with a number of industrial companies to help accelerate their research. A number of companies are located in our laboratories, in addition to companies collaborating with many of our research groups, where cross-disciplinary research has resulted in fantastic achievements. Our research groups have a huge number of industrial partners across a range of disciplines, including GlaxoSmithKline, AstraZeneca, Johnson Matthey, Rolls-Royce and Ford.
Together, we have funding for several PhD students. Industrial CASE studentships are working on projects from imaging techniques to additive manufacturing, together with co-funding of researchers on a wide range of projects from aerospace to improving ice cream texture. In life sciences, Research Complex is an influential member of the HealthTec Cluster which is a partnership of the local industry, STFC, the Oxford Local Enterprise Partnership, the Rosalind Franklin Institute, MRC-Harwell, the European Space Agency and Public Health England. Research Complex has also been participating in the development of an EnergyTec Cluster which brings energy companies into Harwell campus, with a goal of acting as a Hub for developing the research strengths in the Large Facilities to support them.
Research Complex has tremendous expertise both within our core team and within the resident groups in providing essential support to industrial collaborators. We can provide laboratory space and access to specialist equipment with a tailored agreement to suit your company's requirements.
