Rosalind Franklin Institute

The Rosalind Franklin Institute, led by Director Professor James Naismith, is the UK’s institute for technology development in life science. They utilise their expertise in physical sciences to develop technologies aimed at better understanding human disease and its effects on the body.

The collaboration at Research Complex involves BBSRC funded research on enzyme kinetics (Franklin and Cardiff University) and research by PPUK - a long term resident at Research Complex and cornerstone of sample preparation methods development and innovation internationally.  

The Franklin collaborates with other research groups based at Research Complex, including Diamond Light Source, Central Laser Facility, and the universities of Reading and Oxford.
