Dr Emma Springate
Emma has led the Artemis group since it opened to users. She managed the original project to build the facility, and the recent £3M upgrade of the facility in new lab-space at Research Complex.
Emma is an academic visitor at Imperial College and a member of the EPSRC Peer Review College. She is a member of the International Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee (ISTAC) of the Extreme Light Infrastructure-Delivery Consortium (ELI-DC). She has served as a Programme Committee member for Ultrafast Optics 2015 and 2019, HILAS 2016 and 2018, ICEL 2017 and 2019, and CLEO 2010-2014 and 2019-2022. As a member of the Optical Society (OSA), she has served on the International Council, and chaired committees for the Adolph Lomb Medal and the CLEO conference. She has co-authored over 70 publications.
