Dr Sara Mosca

Sara completed her PhD in Physics at Politecnico di Milano, Italy in 2018.  Her main background is in laser spectroscopy and general photonics, with a particular focus on Raman spectroscopy. She joined the Central Laser Facility shortly after her PhD (July 2018). Since then, she focused her attention on designing and developing novel solutions for non-invasive analysis of cultural heritage, material science and biological system. Her current research at RAL is within the Raman Nanotheranostic project (EPSRC programme grant, RaNT) which involves developing a deep Raman (SORS and TRS) approach for in-vivo detection and localization of cancer lesions.
