Dr David Mcdonagh
David is a computational scientist working on methods and software for neutron diffraction. He obtained an integrated masters in Natural Sciences at the University of Leicester, a masters in Theory and Modelling in the Chemical Sciences at the University of Oxford, and a PhD in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry at the University of Southampton. His background is in crystal structure prediction, electronic structure theory, crystallography, software engineering, and machine learning. David's current role focuses on expanding the capability of the DIALS software package to neutron diffraction, working primarily with SXD at ISIS.
