Dr Kyprianos Hadjidemetriou

Kyprianos is a UKRI Guarantee Postdoctoral Fellow (2023 -2025), funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) via the UKRI Horizon Europe Guarantee Scheme, following a successful application with Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) for their MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship call.

Kyprianos joined the electron Bio-Imaging Centre (eBIC) in January 2022 as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate (PDRA) on Bacterial Chemotaxis using cryo-Electron Tomography. Previously, Kyprianos was working on his Ph.D. project in the DYNAMOP group at the Institut de Biologie Structurale (Grenoble, France) under the supervision of Dr. Martin Weik. His Ph.D. work focused on studying light-sensitive proteins using time-resolved serial femtosecond crystallography at X-ray free electron lasers (XFELs).
