Yakun Tang

Yakun joined the Electron Bio-Imaging Centre (eBIC) and the Research Complex at Harwell in November 2023 to work on the bacterial chemotaxis project in Professor Peijun Zhang’s group.

Prior to joining eBIC, Yakun did her PhD at the University of Cambridge supervised by Professor Hendrik van Veen. Her PhD project focused on investigating the lipid transport activities and energetics of bacterial multidrug ATP-binding cassette transporters. She has strong interests in the structural and functional studies of bacterial membrane proteins.
