Dr Jos J. A. G. Kamps

After completing his PhD in 2020 (University of Oxford, UK), Jos joined the XFEL-hub (Allen M. Orville Group) at Diamond Light Source as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate. Jos’ research focuses on the fundamental understanding of metallo enzymes involved in antibiotic biosynthesis and biosynthetic production of molecular oxygen, using dynamic structural biology and serial crystallography. Additionally, Jos contributes to research on Cys and Ser based proteases including main protease and papain like protease found in SARS-CoV-2, focusing on room temperature serial crystallography.
