Dr Hans Pfalzgraf
Hans Pfalzgraf is a Post-Doctoral Research Associate with Hough Group at Diamond Light Source. Thanks to the excellent facilities at the Research Complex, he is expressing, purifying and crystallising bacterial enzymes that oxidise hydroxylamine. Cutting-edge crystallographic techniques will then enable an understanding of why some enzymes produce the greenhouse gas nitrous oxide. Hans obtained a PhD in structure-informed enzyme engineering at the UEA and a MRes Organic Chemistry: Drug Discovery at UCL.
