Taylah Andrews-Clark

Taylah is a joint PhD student between Diamond Light Source and the University of Oxford. Previously, she studied MSci Biochemistry at the University of Southampton.

Her project is focussed on investigating the structural dynamics and inhibition of the cysteine proteases of SARS-CoV-2 and related coronaviruses. These proteases have essential functions in the viral lifecycle and thus, understanding their mechanism of action, structure and function is important for the development of targeted inhibitors.
