Dr Ruikang Xue

Ruikang joined the Materials, Structure and Manufacturing at Harwell (MSMaH) group at UCL as a Project Manager since December 2020. He helps Prof. Lee, Drs. Leung and Walsh manage and coordinate high profile international multidisciplinary Hierarchical Phase Contrast Computed Tomography (HiP-CT), Manufacturing using Advanced Powder Processing (MAPP) and Prof. Lee's Royal Academy of Engineering Chair in Emerging Technologies activities, and supports over a dozen other smaller grants the group holds. 

Before joining UCL, he has worked as a Post-doctoral Research Associate on developing a novel 3D printed medical device for tendon repair funded by Versus Arthritis at the University of Manchester since March 2019. He has worked as a part-time Industrial Technician from October 2015 to February 2019 at the Henry Mosley X-ray Imaging Facility at the University of Manchester. Ruikang Xue obtained a PhD in Biomaterials with thesis entitled "Cellular Fluid Mechanics in Osteochondral Tissue Engineering" under Prof Sarah Cartmell from University of Manchester in February 2019. He completed an MEng in Biomedical Materials Science in First Class with Honours from University of Manchester in September 2015.

Ruikang Xue
