Dr Barat Achinuq

Barat studied nanotechnology at the University of Ulm, Germany, and completed his PhD there with as well. From 2014, he was a PDRA at York University, where he worked on the crystalline structure and magnetic and electrical properties of thin-film Heusler materials. Currently, he is a PDRA at Oxford in the Thin Film Quantum Materials Group. Research Complex offers Barat a fantastic workplace for preparing samples and carrying out electron microscopy.

Research Interests

Barat's background is in magnetic and spintronic materials for information/sensor technologies. He has in-depth experience in thin film deposition, electron microscopy, electron/x-ray spectroscopy and diffraction pattern analysis; designing, maintaining UHV growth/deposition systems and instrument development.
