Pankaj Kumar

Pankaj is enrolled on the CDT in Computational Methods for Materials Science course at Cambridge and has completed the MPhil in Scientific Computing portion. Currently, he is working on a PhD with the Molecular Engineering group in collaboration with the ISIS facility at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. His project aims to use machine learning and data-mining techniques to predict material properties for engineering applications.

Pankaj completed his BSci in Physics at King's College London. His third-year project was a study on using Machine Learning techniques to design Chiral Metamaterials with applications in bio-sensing. During his time in London, Pankaj also worked with the Theory & Simulation of Condensed Matter group at King's College London to build a classifier using Support Vector Machine to classify Platinum isomers at the nanoscale.
