Dr Dave Yeeles

Dave joined the Central Laser Facility in 2024 and works as a scientific software engineer for the Octopus group. Currently he is involved in data analysis efforts for low-temperature correlative light and electron microscopy (cryoCLEM).

Prior to his current role, Dave worked on simulations of merging black holes and gravitational waves at Academia Sinica Institute of Physics in Taipei. He obtained his M.Sci. in physics at Royal Holloway University of London before moving on to an M.Sc. in theoretical physics at King's College London, and finally a Ph.D. in astrophysics at Cardiff University, where he worked as a member of the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA Collaboration.
