Dr Emma Campbell

Emma currently works at the Catalysis Hub for Cardiff University using vibrational spectroscopy to study catalytic mechanisms in heterogeneous catalysis. She is focusing on two projects - the chemical upgrading of End-of-Life plastics (polyethylene) and propane dehydrogenation. She obtained her PhD in 2022 from UCL, during which she was based at Research Complex with Beale Group. Her PhD also involved working with the Central Laser Facility to apply the Kerr-gated Raman spectrometer to study zeolite-catalysed reactions in the upgrading of methanol and other oxygenated compounds. Emma received her Masters’ degree from Cardiff University in 2015.
