Zhongxun Cui
Zhongxun received his Bachelor of Engineering from Central South University in 2019 and then joined HPSTAR as a research assistant, focusing on materials and minerals in extreme high-pressure environments, carried out research at APS (ANL) and SSRF (CAS). He joined Dr. Robin Perry's group in 2022 as a Ph.D student, investigating semiconductor dielectric single crystals used in SERS and PIERS, co-supervised by Dr. Tung Chun Lee (UCL Chemistry).
Research Interests
Zhongxun's interests in using large-scale facilities and advanced characterisation tools to investigate phase transitions, functionalisation and applications of mineral and crystalline materials. He is currently working on the origins of chemical enhancement effects in SERS and PIERS and proposing pathways for the design of substrate materials.
