Edward Garland

Edward is a current member of the Beale Group, pursuing a PhD at Research Complex and UCL. He graduated in 2024 with an Integrated Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Durham. His Master’s research focused on the kinetics of zeolite catalysed Friedel-Crafts chemistry under the supervision of Dr Russell Taylor. His current project explores biomass-to-chemicals conversion using zeolite materials, employing advanced spectroscopic and X-ray methods to help advance the transition to ‘resource at source’.
