The Beale group is interested in establishing structure-function relationships in functional materials, including catalytic solids and energy materials as a function of both time and space using both X-ray & optical spectroscopic and scattering method

ISIS Neutron and Muon Source is the UK's national facility for materials research using neutrons and muons.

Research in the MMC Lab in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford is focused on the nanoengineering of hybrid materials, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), bespoke thin films and composites, with emphasis on tuneable nanomaterials.

At the MXI Lab, we pioneer cutting-edge X-ray imaging and quantification techniques to reveal features at the nano to micron scale, encapsulating the novel insights gained into computational modelling and artificial intelligence (AI).  
 

Nium are nanoscientists, engineers and entrepreneurs: a team and technology built to eliminate emissions at scale. Nium was born at Carbon13, Cambridge in Spring 2022.

The Oxford MBE Group @ Harwell focuses on the growth of topological quantum materials, such as topological insulators, Weyl and Dirac semimetals, as well as topological magnetic systems, such as skyrmion, antiskyrmion, and chiral bobber materials using molecular beam

The Perry Group studies the properties of functional materials, in particular metal oxides and chalcogenides. These materials host a diverse array of properties, such as ferroelectricity, superconductivity, magnetism, and exotic metallic behaviour.

The Schroeder Group seeks to revolutionise the development and supply of functional high-value chemical and pharmaceutical solid products by delivering a rapid innovation pipeline to integrated continuous manufacturing processes.

The UK Catalysis Hub is collaborative network of researchers across the UK researching Catalysis. The  hub is a Consortia of universities lead by Cardiff, Bath and Manchester.

Our research aims to develop greater understanding of reactions occurring at material interfaces that underpin many sustainable technologies.
