Life Sciences

Our Life Sciences department at Research Complex facilitates a wide range of exciting research, bringing together the traditional disciplines. The core facility consists of microbiology, cell culture, mass spectroscopy and microscopy, as well as general bench space for academic and industrial groups. Users benefit from other major facilities onsite, including the Rosalind Franklin Institute, ISIS and Diamond Light Source. Life science users have access to a wide range of scientific instruments for imaging, spectroscopy and chromatography. Applications include uncovering the truth about membrane protein structures, studying antibiotic resistance and developing new therapeutics to name a few.
