Isothermal Titration Calorimetry

Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC) is a technique that directly measures the heat that is either released or absorbed during the interaction of molecules. ITC is most commonly used to determine the binding affinity and thermodynamic profile (change in enthalpy, entropy and Gibbs free energy) of an interaction, and is particularly suited to the study of the binding of small molecules to macromolecules.
