The Life Sciences Facility brings together specialist laboratories, technical expertise and advanced technologies to support collaborative research across molecular, cellular and structural biology. Located alongside national facilities on the Harwell Campus, it provides an environment where researchers can investigate biological systems, develop new therapeutics and tackle complex scientific challenges.
Facilities and expertise
Researchers have access to a broad range of laboratories and technologies supporting microbiology, cell culture, microscopy, mass spectrometry, imaging, spectroscopy and chromatography. Representative equipment includes thermocyclers, gel imaging systems and centrifuges, alongside specialist technical expertise to support every stage of the research process.
