Cell Culture and Microbiology
The Cell Culture and Microbiology Facility provides specialist laboratories and technical expertise to support research involving mammalian, insect and bacterial cell lines. Working closely with Diamond Light Source and the Central Laser Facility, the facility enables researchers to produce cells and proteins for structural biology, bioanalysis and a wide range of collaborative life science research.
Facilities and expertise
Researchers have access to specialist laboratories and equipment supporting cell culture, microbiology and protein production, including microscopy, incubators and cell disruption technologies. These capabilities integrate with crystallisation, biophysical instrumentation and electron microscopy, helping researchers move efficiently from sample preparation through to analysis. Our facilities continue to evolve, so if you require a particular technique or capability, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
