EPSRC Career Acceleration Fellowships 2010 - Call for outline applications

Career Acceleration Fellowships provide up to five years funding to talented researchers at an early stage of their career. They provide an opportunity to concentrate on research for the period of the award, as well as supporting all the costs of the associated research for the full duration of the fellowship. The expectation is that fellows will have established an independent career of international standing by the end of the award. The EPSRC anticipate strong competition for these fellowships. The Research Complex at Harwell, currently under construction, will house research groups who want to have focused research programmes utilising the facilities available on the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory site e.g. Diamond, ISIS and Lasers. EPSRC has supported the project to enable a small number of research programmes to be based there for an extended period. Outline proposals are encouraged from applicants who wish to spend an extended period during their fellowship working with these facilities and based at the Research Complex.

Deadline for outline applications is 29th September 2009
