Teaching high throughput methods

From May 16th to 24th, the Research Complex at Harwell hosted an EMBO practical course on high throughput protein production and crystallization. The course was organised and run by the OPPF-UK with the Membrane Protein Laboratory and Diamond Light source. During the ten day course, research students from laboratories across Europe, learnt about using different cells to express their proteins, purification of both soluble and membrane proteins, high throughput crystallization and data collection at synchrotrons. The course was funded by the European Molecular Biology Organisation with additional financial support from Diamond Light Source, BioStructX and Instruct.
