New Super Microscopes at the Research Complex

In an STFC-MRC partnership, RCaH researchers will build and install new super microscopes, aimed at a better understanding of diseases such as cancer and deafness. This is supported by a £1.7M grant from the Medical Research Council (MRC). The project uses technology developed for the study of the Universe to observe individual molecules inside living cells and cells inside organisms at ultra-high definition and in 3D. It will help us find ways to overcome problems such as drug resistance and variation of response to treatments from patient to patient. For more information please click here and here.
