Building Project

The building will be ~6500m2 gross floor area including adaptable / mixed use laboratories and equipment for short, medium and long term visiting scientists. The area requirements and design of the building have been developed in consultation with users and stakeholders.

The Complex will be a two-floor building with one floor for physical science and one floor for life science laboratories. There will be offices for research groups, shared areas, seminar and meeting rooms and a café area. The building is sufficiently adaptable in design to be capable of responding to changes in research requirements and opportunities in the future.

Work on the main building began in March 2008 and it was operational towards the end of 2009.
