Access for activity funded by BBSRC

BBSRC has a number of schemes that could support access to RCaH for long or short-term visits. Investigators can apply for long-term residence, supported by a research grant or fellowship, awarded under normal grant programmes. Projects supported by existing grants could, in principle, relocate some, or all, the activity to RCaH, following assessment of the proposal by BBSRC. Short-term access is likely to be associated with access to the major facilities, such as Diamond, ISIS and CLF, and users can request this as part of their facility access proposal. Occasional access (less than one day) to RCaH facilities should be discussed directly with the RCaH Director or Operations Manager.

BBSRC access schemes are intended to be flexible, and operate in a responsive mode. Applicants are encouraged to discuss their ideas with the relevant BBSRC programme manager (Colin Miles) prior to submitting their grant or fellowship proposal.
